Little Caesars has brought back its Detroit-style Slices-N-Stix promotion for a limited time as the regional format gains popularity across the category. The Detroit-Style Slices-N-Stix includes two slices of Detroit-Style Deep Dish pizza — pepperoni or cheese — four pieces of Italian Cheese Bread, and Crazy Sauce for $4.99. It was first introduced in January and is billed as a “convenient, single-serve meal.” The promotion’s return is likely to appeal to customers who are looking for a quick and affordable meal option that still offers a unique and satisfying dining experience.

The Competition Moves In

Its return comes on the heels of Domino’s launch of the Domino, a Detroit-style pizza made for one person and cut into two slices. Little Caesars notes that searches for Detroit-style pizza have increased by more than 5,000% throughout the past three months, according to Google Trends. Further, Technomic Ignite data shows that menu penetration of Detroit-style pizza has increased by 17% between Q2 2024 and Q2 2026 across a base of 7,000 operators.

Technomic reports that the distinctive build of Detroit-style pizza, which is thick and rectangular and often features sauce spooned on top of the toppings, supports premium and indulgent positioning. This increase in popularity can be attributed to the growing demand for unique and high-quality food options, as well as the influence of social media platforms that showcase visually appealing dishes.

Keeping the Price Low

To maintain its differentiation amid more competition, Little Caesars said while “other major chains” are rolling out their own versions, it will continue to offer it at “a leading price.” The company has also recruited Detroit Lions Quarterback Jared Goff to promote the return of the promotion. “Detroit-Style Slices-N-Stix brings together the taste, variety and value guests expect from Little Caesars,” Chief Marketing Officer Greg Hamilton said in a statement. “We’re proud to bring it back this fall with Jared Goff and celebrate a product that is unmistakably Detroit.” The partnership with Jared Goff is a strategic move to appeal to sports fans and locals who are familiar with the Detroit brand, and to create a sense of community and shared excitement around the promotion.

Notably, Detroit-based Little Caesars’ headquarters are located less than an hour from Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Domino’s headquarters. While the chain focuses on the value proposition, the competitive pressure from its neighbor suggests that price alone may not be the only factor driving the resurgence of this specific pizza style. The shift toward premium, single-serve formats indicates that consumers are increasingly willing to trade speed for texture and build, a trend that could force even the fastest food retailers to adjust their preparation timelines. As a result, restaurants may need to invest in new equipment, training, and menu development to meet the evolving demands of their customers and stay competitive in the market.

Availability and Ordering

Detroit-Style Slices-N-Stix is available from Sept. 7 through Nov. 1 at participating Little Caesars locations. Guests can order from the Hot-N-Ready menu from 4, 8 p.m. or online through the Little Caesars app and website. The convenience of online ordering and the flexibility of the Hot-N-Ready menu are likely to appeal to customers who are looking for a quick and easy meal solution. Additionally, the limited-time nature of the promotion may create a sense of urgency and encourage customers to try the Detroit-Style Slices-N-Stix before it’s gone, driving sales and increasing brand awareness for Little Caesars.
