Mod Pizza has updated its menu to include five new signature pizzas and a limited-time offering, responding directly to guest feedback. The changes, which launch on Aug. 24, represent a shift in strategy for the chain as it attempts to stabilize its business model.

The company introduced several new recipes, ranging from meat-heavy options to vegetarian choices. The new lineup includes the Carnivore pizza, which features red sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, mild sausage, ground beef, and bacon. For those preferring vegetables, the Veg Out pizza combines red sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, mushroom, green pepper, red onion rings, black olives, diced tomato, and oregano.

Other additions include the MODgherita pizza with red sauce, chopped garlic, mozzarella, parmesan, seasoned sliced tomatoes, and basil. The Firebird pizza uses olive oil and Buffalo sauce as a base with mozzarella, gorgonzola, cheddar, and grilled chicken. The Smoke Show pizza combines BBQ sauce with mozzarella, cheddar, diced chicken, bacon, red onions, and cilantro.

Beyond pizza, Mod added a Mediterranean salad with a mixed spring greens base, topped with olive oil, red wine vinegar, feta, black olives, roasted red peppers, diced cucumbers, chickpeas, and oregano. The chain also introduced a new dessert item, the CinnaMOD, made with a buttery base, cinnamon sugar, salted caramel, and vanilla icing.

For a limited time, Mod is offering the Spicy Thai Pizza, which includes a new sweet-and-spicy Thai chile finishing sauce, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, jalapeños, garlic rub, cilantro, asiago, and mozzarella cheese. This is the company’s first limited-time menu item in three years to feature a new ingredient.

In a statement, Vice President of Marketing Charae Carter noted that loyal customers appreciate the ability to customize a meal. The menu evolution makes the ordering experience more intuitive, while also adding new flavors and items.

“The result is a dining experience that’s simpler to handle while delivering the customization and quality that have defined Mod since day one,” Carter said.

Mod is also launching a back-to-school local marketing initiative. Through Nov. 15, school-affiliated organizations can host fundraising events at participating Mod locations. The top three fundraising groups will each receive an additional $1,000 donation, while every participating organization will be entered into a sweepstakes for another chance to win a $1,000 donation.

This menu overhaul arrives as Mod works to recover from a period of financial decline. In 2024, the chain sold to Elite Restaurant Group after closing a significant number of locations. In 2025, sales dropped by nearly 11% and the company closed another 33 locations, according to data from Technomic.
